Glaucoma Diagnosis and Treatment
for Grand Island, Orchard Park, West Seneca, Niagara Falls, Lockport, NY & Beyond

Glaucoma is an eye condition causing vision loss or complete blindness. People over the age of 60 or who have a family history of glaucoma are more likely to develop glaucoma, which may be difficult to notice at first because it can worsen over time. Common symptoms include a loss of peripheral vision.

If you have trouble seeing to the side (peripherally) or you are experiencing progressive loss of sight, you should make an appointment with an experienced eye doctor who can accurately diagnose and treat your condition. Tests that may be performed include testing the optic nerve, measuring for intraocular pressure, checking the corneal thickness, and more.

Prescription Glaucoma Treatments

After finding evidence of glaucoma, we can help slow or halt the progression with prescription eyedrops or oral medicine, or even more complex treatments like laser treatment or surgery. The treatment depends entirely on your individual case and diagnosis, and the best way to find out the proper treatment is to speak with one of our eye care professionals.
